We took our Mercedes in to repair a sensor. The job was quoted and the work started. The shop later came back and said the job took longer than what was stated in the standard hours for the repair and I needed to pay extra. Do you think they give a discount if they finish a job sooner. I'm certain that's not the case. At any rate, this was unethical and I don't recommend the shop. - In response to the owner, it was very clearly articulated that the job was beyond the booked labor hours and it would take more time. There is a reason they have standard labor hours for repair jobs. I'm not sure what I was expected to do, have a tow truck drag the car to another shop and pay Guy's for the work to investigate the issue only to pay the next shop for the same work??? Very unethical...
Jim, we apologize for any confusion during the repair process. We always strive to communicate clearly and it seems we did not in this case. We have been in business for over 35 years and believe we try to do what's best for the customer.
